I’ve been bloating after working out which is pretty frustrating, so I did some research to try and find out why and here’s what I’ve learned so far: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. 💧Water retention- not drinking enough water, also could be caused by stress 2. 🥑Too much fiber/eating too much before working out, not leaving enough time for proper digestion 3. 🍬Artificial sweeteners such as Sucralose (in many preworkouts!!!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sucralose has been linked to possibly damaging your gut health (aka good bacteria), interfering with digestion, and contributing to conditions such as IBS. Cooking with Sucralose creates possible carcinogens called chloropropanols, which can increase your risk of cancer.
Trying to stay on track this week but stress and Halloween has me wanting to eat every pumpkin reese’s in sight👻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • I’ve been writing my goals in a journal, making it a point to get in the gym, getting good rest, and meditating for about 10 minutes before bed. Meditation helps me refocus and calm my nerves, especially before sleeping. • When I’m craving something it’s so important to not completely restrict because that turns into binge eating and feeling guilty. I’ll either have a little of whatever I’m craving or make a healthier version! It’s important to always keep your goals in mind and remember that you can still enjoy treats while achieving your goals!!
