Mountain men of Rutgers... UNITE!
I need to find more abandoned hotels....walking through them is eery, but they make you think....people used to work here, others walked the halls and vacationed here....it brings you back to a different time. • This would be the skeleton of the Overlook Mountain House. The first Overlook was a small lodge built in 1833. Business was slow and it closed. A new developer tried again in 1871, building a 300-room hotel. Business never took off and the hotel burned down in 1875. Two brothers rebuilt the structure in 1878, and sold it to a hotelier. The Overlook then burned down again in 1921..... • #optoutside
