A peak at the finished color correction from last week. This client came in with warm roots that were patchy. She had been seeing this technique called #balayage told her stylist that’s what she wanted. She’s a natural level 4/5 with 30% grey. She wants to blend her grey and wants to be as light as possible. Unfortunately her stylist wasn’t able to get the lift with the open air balayage technique she used and the result wasn’t what the client wanted. I corrected her with @milkshakeusa 9nn and 8.11 at the root with 30v then foiled her as she processed on top of the color to even out her orange patches. I then toner her with 8 NA at the first inch of the highlights and pulled threw 9v and clear (shades EQ) .. Lesson to be learned here ?? As we grow as stylist we will have multiple techniques and tools in our tool box, knowing what combination of those techniques to use on what type of canvas is the secret to mastery.
