All the way up
I'm behind on posting my latest adventures... Because how can I choose just a few words and photos to sum up such an experience? I successfully completed my first through-hike in none other than Torres del Paine, Chile. Here's a summary: . LOST: . ☑️ One tank top that will forever smell like a dead animal ☑️ My fave chambray button-down ☑️ The belief that I am still in my 20s (my heart says yes, my knees say HARD NO) ☑️ My comfort zone ☑️ My distaste for being rained on ☑️ A good amount of the winter weight Ketchikan was tryna pack on . GAINED: . ✔️ 50+ miles in some of the most insanely beautiful terrain I have ever experienced ✔️ A profound appreciation for what my body is capable of doing long after my brain has thrown in the towel ✔️ Desperately-needed perspective ✔️ The tiniest bit of butt muscles #jlo ✔️ Four awesome new friends who shared this insanely physical and emotional journey with me ✔️ A reminder that I am a freaking bad ass . I can't really put it into words. Sometimes I was on top of the world. Many times I wanted to cry, and I still can't figure out if that was physical exhaustion or emotional elation. Perhaps both. But DAMN I did it. 3 days, 3 nights, 55-ish miles, and 100x more than what these photos could possibly show. Thank you, Torres.
