⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For me, patience is great virtue. Deep ability to remain firm and calm when faced with adversity. Trusting and accepting things and situations as they are, giving them space to grow and not trying to resist them. The boundary between patience and tolerance is very blurry. While the patience has it's roots in compassion, faith and acceptance, tolerance arises from our own beliefs. When moment of aversion or resistance arises and the pain of accepting it is too big, patience won't be a magic wand that brings the difficult and unpleasing to an end. Well, maybe this is the point where we should start to act from the perspective of tolerance and stop compromising ourselves with things we know we can't put up with. So, I'll stop looking and listening to things that hurt me or make me feel small. I'll stop talking and sharing my time with people with whom I don't feel heard and safe. Why would I?
