Cribraria mirabilis appeared in the field today! I noticed a mass of dark shiny immature sporangia alongside some that were fully mature on a large mossy stump this morning. By this afternoon the spores had matured and dried enough to collect some of the fruiting bodies. The photo shows one fruiting body that has lost its spores in front of a larger fruiting body that retains its spores. The fruiting bodies are between 1-2 mm high. Cribraria spp have a peridial net which makes the genus easy to identify in the field. But C. mirabilis is one of the few Cribraria species that is easy to identify. Its peridial net resembles that of C. cancellata except the ribs of the net don’t extend from the top to the base of the sporotheca but form a small reticulate net near the apex. . . #myxomycetes #microorganisms #slimemoulds #slimemold #tasmaniannature #cribraria #naturephotography

В процессе своего развития, головастик превращается в лягушку - плотоядное земное животное, которое перемещается на 4 лапах и дышащее с помощью легких.

Martinus Willem Beijerinck (1851-1931) was the first Professor of Microbiology at the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). He is commemorated by this bronze plaque that still hangs in the corridor of the Delft School of Microbiology building.

He was the first person to use the term 'virus' for the invisible material causing disease in Tobacco leaves, which he showed to be self replicating, and was later identified at the Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV).
.
As well as being the first to show that root nodules where not galls and contained nitrogen fixing bacteria, Beijerinck was the first to isolate a huge range of microorganisms using his 'enrichment culture' method. Many of his personal artifacts, experimental equipment, and even his own armchair (pictured) are still held in the Delft School of Microbiology Archives.

Hello there, I came from my college and reached my home. Since I usually like to have snacks when I reach my home I thought of making a sandwich but the bread which I had in my home was not in a good condition, it was stinking and had a foul smell on it. Yess microbes are the reason behind this 😅😅attack but how ❓ yess they are ubiquitous but still how can they spoil my bread 🍞. So in today's post we're going to learn about microbes in food. Pathogenic micro-organisms cause food-borne infections or intoxication, and include bacteria, viruses, parasites and moulds. It is important to note that pathogenic bacteria and viruses usually do not cause food spoilage, their contamination cannot be seen nor tasted.
It is the change of look, consistency, flavor and odor of foods, and is caused by bacteria, moulds and yeasts.
Most commonly used microorganisms are yeast, bacteria, moulds, or a combination of these. A good example of microorganism usage in food production is the process of fermentation, which results in the production of organic acids, alcohols and esters. These help to either:

Preserve the food
generate distinctive new food products

Ça peut vous paraître bizarre vu comme ça mais notre corps est bel et bien un hôte qui héberge un ensemble de micro-organismes (bactéries, virus, parasites, champignons non pathogènes).
C'est ce qu'on appelle les microbiotes !

Par manque d'information, nous avons tendance à croire qu'il n'existe qu'un microbiotes : le microbiote intestinal ou flore intestinale.

Certes, il est le plus important en terme de volume (environ 2kg de notre poids et représente 80% des bactéries de notre organisme). Il faut donc en prendre soin mais il ne faut pas négliger les autres qui sont les microbiotes :

🔸 Vaginal
🔸 Buccal
🔸 Nasal
🔸 Pulmonaire
🔸 Du rhino-pharynx
🔸 De l'oreille moyenne

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Новый предмет, с нового семестра 👌🏼 Долгожданная микроба 🧪☺️ Рассказывать про него буду часто и много, очень интересная кафедра❤️ как минимум не думала, что когда либо куплю зажигалку для учебы😅, а как максимум потому что: много лабораторных исследований (это преемник предмета #чудеса_гистологии 😌), будет много интересных фото препаратов бактерий, вирусов, и других микроорганизмов, как только я соображу как и что👌🏼 Например, сегодня мы сделали бактериальный посев из полости своего носа, рассмотрим что вырастет ☝🏼😄; микроскопы мощнее, чем на гистологии, оптика круче, на группу всего 6 микроскопов, на гисте был у каждого 👌🏼, а значит и красоты будет больше 🎉; это более волнительно, ведь микробы это от чего мы болеем, кому не интересно увидеть вирус гриппа или посмотреть в микролицо стафилококкам? 🤓Не эбола, конечно, но тоже прям целое приключение 😌. На занятиях учимся приготавливать препараты из разных микроорганизмов, что подразумевает правильное «извлечение» культуры из пробирок, нанесение на предметные стекла, окрашивание (согласно биохимическим характеристикам представителей, каждый пигмент дает оптимальный цвет для изучения в микроскопе (большинство бесцветны)), фиксирование огнем или химическим способом; изучаем, описываем, при помощи микроскопа (причем между окуляром и посевом наносится масло: преломляющие свойства плотной жидкости делают картину ясной), сдаем на оценку, которая складывается из всего вышеперечисленного. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Хочу показать вам, мной приготовленные классические Кокки, а именно- #стафилококки (формируют виноградные грозьдья 🍇), окраска по методу Грамма, синие-значит воспринимают этот пигмент, и следовательно, грамм-положительные или Грамм (+). Британские ученые обнаружили вещество, посредством которого растения и грибы общаются между собой.
Общение важно в жизни для многих живых организмов. Растения и грибковые микроорганизмы часто сотрудничают в пользу общего блага, и такие отношения в биологии называются симбиозом. Теперь ученые из Кембриджского университета установили, благодаря чему подобные отношения растений и грибов возможны – все дело в белке, который выделяют растения.
Чтобы определить, какое вещество помогает растениям и грибам сотрудничать, ученые проанализировали мутантный вид кукурузы под названием Zmnope1, который не способен вступать в симбиоз с грибами. Так ученые определили недостающий ген, отвечающий за синтез транспортного белка, который является средством коммуникации между растением и грибковыми организмами. Ранее эта особенность растений не была описана учеными.
«Грибы и растения нуждаются друг в друге, и поэтому важно, чтобы они смогли найтись между собой, – говорит главный исследователь научной группы Ута Пажковски. – В этом главную роль играет общение видов, и в данном случае это возможно благодаря белковой молекуле, которая доставляет «вещества-сигналы» в почву, которые привлекают грибковые микроорганизмы».
Симбиоз значительно улучшает способности растения впитывать такие необходимые питательные вещества, как фосфаты. Понимание процесса, благодаря которому возможно сотрудничество растений с грибами, поможет в разработке способов по повышению урожайности.

A l'inverse du purin obtenu par trempage sans air forcé, le thé oxygéné n'a pas de mauvaise odeur car non pathogène, et l'extraction des fertilisants est plus rapide. Il contient à la fois des ingrédients nutritifs solubles et des microorganismes vivants (bactéries, champignons, protozoaires, nématodes). Il est utilisé à 2 fins : - à l'inoculation de vie microbienne - à l'ajout d'éléments nutritifs solubles pour nourrir les microorganismes et les plantes. En bref, il nourrit et protège votre plante.

Brewing with unconventional yeast and bacteria can be really exciting. They can also behave in unexpected ways.

We currently have two different 3 gallon batches fermenting in the bedroom closet of our Oakland apartment.

The first... brewed on Saturday... is unfortunately not showing any signs of life. With 3 strains of brettanomyces at work we hope to wake up tomorrow morning with some activity in the airlock.

Our batch from Sunday... inoculated with brett and a saccharomyces strain that behaves like (and was once misidentified as) brett... began bubbling in under 5 hours.

Despite some difficulties and unpredictability, we love the flavors and aromas you get from these microorganisms and we look forward to more experimentation. #milkthefunk

When a favourite uncle gave him a microscope at just seven or eight years of age, he unwittingly shaped the course of young Gustaaf’s life. “He gave me a small toy microscope. As soon as I started to play with it I became smitten with the many beautiful things I discovered. The spring has a shallow area extending far out from the bright blue/orange colors. This area is reflecting some of the brighter star trails!
