Ten years from now , on some December morning, I'll be sitting on a plane watching my city unfold beneath me, as the sun comes up in the distant horizon. Coming home after years , my thoughts will irrevokably travel to you , latch on to the walls of your cold, dark room and snuggle up against you under the blanket. I'll kiss you good morning like I used to , and you'll wake up with a start , unable to comprehend what broke your sleep. You'll turn around and find him sleeping beside you, kiss him like we used to... and go back to sleep in his arms , wondering if the sudden thought of me after all these years was just a dream. Ten years from now , you'll be walking past people at a shopping mall, there to buy his birthday gift. Your eyes will follow a certain stranger walking ahead of you , overgrown hair falling on a black shirt. Your feet will walk faster than they are supposed to, even though your heart will drag you back. You will pick up your pace, desperate to outrun the stranger and see his face, hoping against hope that it's me. What would you tell me, after all these years ? Ten years later , on the midnight of a certain day , you'll unlock your phone, standing in the balcony watching the August rain. Your fingers will hover over the keypad , the cursor blinking in a certain inbox , lying unused in the archives like a dusty old room where once two souls had made a home. You'll type two words, add a smile, then backspace it and stare at the horizon for a while. Maybe you'll go back to bed , lie down beside him. Maybe you'll whisper into the wind , wish me happy birthday and hope that I feel it , a thousand miles away. But whatever you do, I want you to know that on a midnight of August , I will be thinking of you too. I just wanted you to know, that ten years later , if ever we stumble upon each other, don't freeze. Smile at me from the corner of the room and tuck me away like a bookmark in your favourite book... And I'll remember to memorise the sparkle in your eyes... go back to it when I miss you, Once in a while.

Blur // Myra asked about how I made those bad memories of past just a blurred spot in my memories of memories, I said I just smiled, because I knew what actually mattered and what didn't/shouldn't. She offered me another question, which was needless to answer. Just out of courtesy, as I considered her a good friend. I've been betrayed zillion times but none of them mattered enough, because I didn't actually know what it was to be betrayed. There have been versions of it, but i couldn't recognise any of them, if I had any of them all again. . A man, is lying. A girl, is crying. You can't, you can't scan their faces just by looking at them at once to know their pain. You don't know what courage it takes to cry, and what courage it takes to lie senselessly gulping all the sadness. Everything in this world needs courage. Everything in this world deserves to be experienced, and everyone in this world deserves to experience equally. For every single boy who stayed for a while and saw something to love out of these ruins... ************************************************************ For all the men who dared to love me, Thank you What utter madness, to vacate from your inhibitions and seize this wildfire within your grasp I, who lathers tenderness across my skin but wears the armor of a full-fledged mobster comes daytime I lust for romance, as a decade old famine intending to throw it in the compost by the evening My dreams sodomize reality, Shrouding things I was meant to see The way marriage was a permanent exile only ever knowing how to stay for a while Our nights were always punctuated by rhymes and riddles until you find yourself alone in your own bed soiled in ashes and ripples I am a slave to company but always a prisoner to the solitary I haven’t yet learned how to let a boy blow on my wound and call it a vow But you lingered for the same reasons I wanted you to For finding the answers like where my heart has been There, within the questions thatched along the keloids on my skin I am the whole of a broken mirror glued loosely by the tip of my night terrors And even when there’s ridges on your reflection you were always whole each time you looked at me You have seen beauty in a garden full of weeds And tasted wine when you kissed away my tears I am strength in my weakling fibers shivering scared within the bowels of darkness And you always knew when to trap me in your shield and when to stay back so my own battles can allow me to bleed.
