Children don’t know what normal is, as parents we set what’s normal. Going to bed without a fuss at night, is our normal. Eating out in public places and being well behaved during dinner passed 9 PM, flights and airport layovers, being quiet during office meetings. Our girls are always around, and they’ve had to learn what’s expected from them in each setting. _ We often have friends over and almost every single one of them is always shocked by our kids bedtime routine. They get a small cup of water/milk , use the bathroom, give hugs and kisses, then they are tucked into bed. This all happens in about 5 minutes. | Now sometimes there is a whine from Addie bc she claims she never wants to sleep again, but that is RARE. | _ See I never saw this as a big deal, bc in my eyes that’s what I expected them to do. I’m sharing this not to brag about my girls, but to tell you, mamas, that if you set clear expectations for your littles they will learn to follow those expectations. We set what normal is for our family.
