A year ago, I spent Sunday nights desperately trying to avoid having panic attacks. ⁣
⁣
I canceled plans with my friends and family, and I felt paralyzed. I would wake up on Sunday morning annoyed and mad that I had to get through another week, and I was frustrated by the way I was feeling and acting, though I didn’t know how to change it. ⁣
⁣
It was hard to come to terms with the fact that the career path I had chosen and worked so hard for (and paid so much $ for) was making me miserable. ⁣
⁣
I felt stuck, and as much as I tried to tell myself that “things would get better if/when ______ happened” I just couldn’t imagine staying in the elementary classroom for another 28 years. 😳⁣

SO, I changed it. I took a scary AF leap of faith, and I followed something I was passionate about even though I didn’t have a freaking clue what I was doing. ⁣
⁣
I made the decision. I knew that the only way I’d fail was if I quit, and I wasn’t going to let that be an option. ⁣
⁣
And even though I’m no longer in the classroom, I am STILL teaching. ⁣
⁣
I’m teaching the girls in my online groups about fitness and nutrition - even though I don’t have (or need) any certifications. I’m teaching them how to love themselves through every step of the process, and I’m teaching them how to change their habits one day at a time so that they eventually change their entire life. ❤️⁣

Moral of the story - if YOU aren’t happy with any aspect of your life, CHANGE IT. Even if it’s scary - take the leap of faith and just go for it. Life is too short to work a job that drains you. ⁣

YOU. DESERVE. MORE. ⁣

C O M M I T
When you’re pursuing something you’re passionate about, the road isn’t paved. At times, it will feel smooth and glorious! At other times though, you’ll feel like you’ve gone off roading in the dark with no headlights or seatbelt.
To be honest, I feel like I’m off-road and scrambling to find a headlamp to shed some light on what I need to do next.
Life has a funny way of testing us right when we start feeling like “oh yeah, I’ve got this”
So, with that in mind, it’s time for me to double down on my commitment to the work that I am meant to do.
A new opportunity has come up for me recently that has nothing to do with coaching, but it’s perfect and I’m really excited about it - more on that later.
Although I am so happy and excited about what the coming weeks, months and years have in store - this opportunity has caused me to need to re-evaluate how I am spending my time. I am fully capable of taking it all on and rocking it, now it’s time for me to find my groove so I can do just that!
I trust the Universe and myself enough to know that these feelings of overwhelm will only last so long, and there is something to be learned in every situation.
Here’s to learning, new opportunities, and searching for headlamps.
